Schedule for Homeschool
A couple of people have asked me what our homeschool schedule looks like. I am happy to add it to the conversation with the note that nothing is the "right" thing to do.
Get a quick breakfast and go outside for at least 45 minutes of exercise.
Work on structured academic work at the table until a short 10 a.m. snack break.
Pick up the less structured or messier subjects until lunch (like science or art projects)
Eat. Read a chapter to them on the couch and then take a break from each other for an hourish in different rooms.
Do errands, check on people, chores, free time, some screen time or personal projects. This is when I get my work done and the floor swept, etc...
Dessert is at 3. Always. Even in the pandemic.
Keep working on whatever you were doing before 3 until a half-hour before supper.
Straighten up messes and eat
Do dishes. Family time until 8.
Family devotions, get ready for bed, and read until lights out.
