Homemade Stickers
We needed a little bit of messy joy—and I needed some sort of schedule for Spring Break week. So, I hacked up old pages of my planner by Katie Daisy (found HERE) and made them into stickers while I watched TV peacefully. I am handing the rest over to my little people in the morning, ready to stick.
There is more sticker glue in the fridge just waiting for them to take this idea and run with it. (After it comes out of the fridge, I’ll put the whole bowl in a shallow bowl of hot water to liquefy again.)
I did this the first time as a child. I used cherry jello and it was fantastic. And sticky. I think I bathed each cut-out picture. That, by the way, is not necessary.
After the pictures are cut out—or colored and cut out, you just paint sticker stuff on the back with a paintbrush, or your finger. You don’t even need a lot. Then, let them dry and then lick-and-stick them with little people.
Recipe for Edible Sticker Glue:
1 package unflavored gelatin
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/4 cup boiling water
a drop or two of vanilla, peppermint, or orange extract
Mix it together, paint it on, and enjoy.
Or, there are other recipes HERE including one for just jello and water.
